Stylebitt is bringing a modern, tech-driven approach to African fashion, making life easier for tailors and boutique owners across the continent.
If you’ve ever tried getting a custom outfit made in Nigeria, you know it can be a challenge—an unpredictable process that often feels like juggling multiple tasks at once; there’s always the fear of disappointment. But Stylebitt is changing that, offering a solution that’s simplifying the chaos.
Introducing Stylebitt: An operating system for African fashion businesses
Founded in 2021 by Ibrahim Gana and Precious Aleaji, Stylebitt is a B2B SaaS platform that’s spicing up the African fashion scene. What started as a small idea is rapidly scaling into a major force. The journey hasn’t always been smooth though. According to the Ibrahim, when they initially joined the Createch Accelerator by CCHub, they were unsure of their idea’s potential. “At that point, we were thinking, 'Oh, this thing we're doing, who is going to use it?' Going into the accelerator validated our idea and gave us the energy to push forward.”
The early days were filled with challenges, particularly in finding a third person, a technical co-founder to help build the platform. The duo went through several potential co-founders without success. “The accelerator was four months long, and the idea was to build an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) before the end of the accelerator so that we could present it on Demo Day. But by the time Demo Day approached, building an MVP wasn't possible because we had wasted about three to three and a half months looking for that third person,” Ibrahim recalled.
With just three weeks left before Demo Day and no MVP in sight, the founders made a critical decision. “That's when we realized we had to calm down and build this thing ourselves.”

Why This Matters
African fashion entrepreneurs face numerous challenges, such as:
Designers mixing up customer measurements
Tailors working around the clock to meet deadlines
Fashion entrepreneurs struggling with disorganized paperwork
These obstacles have long given African fashion a reputation for being unreliable, which really, really sucks for fashion entrepreneurs trying to build a business. But Stylebitt is offering a solution. According to the team, they initially faced difficulties converting traditional fashion entrepreneurs to adopt their digital tools. These traditional fashion entrepreneurs were so used to pen and paper scribbling it was so hard to get them to embrace the tech. So they focused on targeting “digital natives—people already online and using basic tools like Excel.”
One of the biggest hurdles Stylebitt faced was creating a unified system for measurement information. “We spent two years conducting research and talking to many designers across various locations to develop a standard that everyone could work with,” Ibrahim explained. The result? “The most comprehensive set of measurement information in the industry,” according to Kemi Omorogbe, a fashion entrepreneur and Stylebitt user.
Stylebitt’s approach is purpose-built for fashion entrepreneurs by fashion entrepreneurs, designed to manage the end-to-end operations of a business. The software allows fashion businesses to collect up to 60 data points on each customer, including contact information, measurement data, and relationship-building details like birthdays. This comprehensive approach to customer data collection is a game-changer in the industry, providing what has been described as “the most comprehensive set of measurement information in the industry.”

One major milestone for the company was its focus on creating a community-driven approach. “We didn’t just push a product; we built a community. Our users help each other, sharing tips and experiences, which created organic growth that saw us go from 300 to 3,000 users quickly.”
